Job summary

TPA Portable Roadways, part of the VP group, is expanding its driver team to support growth. We seek confident Class 1 or Class 2 drivers to join a hands-on role away Monday–Friday, delivering and installing temporary roadway solutions with a Portable Roadway Operative.

Full training is provided for crane experience and safety regulatory duties. You’ll operate a modern fleet with welfare facilities, PPE, and a focus on development beyond driving; salary includes a strong OTE and night-out

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 or 2 essential.
• CPC Training Card required.
• Experience with lorry-mounted crane desirable but training provided.
• Willing to be away Monday–Friday and handle off-site operations.

Responsibilities

• Safely load, transport, install, and recover equipment and hire fleet.
• Inspect, maintain and clean vehicles, trailers, cranes, and equipment.
• Carry out daily risk assessments and checks before operations.
• Coordinate with customers and logistics on schedules and site plans.
• Provide customer familiarisation of equipment as needed.
• Log daily dispatches/collections and ensure DVSA paperwork is accurate.
