Job summary

Enterprise Flex-E-Rent is seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our Rugby workshop. You will diagnose faults, repair a range of commercial vehicles and work with manufacturers such as Mercedes, Iveco and Ford. A strong focus on safety, quality and timely completion is essential.

We offer a £1,500 joining bonus, overtime at 1.25x, and a clear 5-stage development path to Master Technician. Expect a Monday–Friday schedule with competitive pay and 25 days leave.

Qualifications

• Organised, proactive technician with strong fault-finding skills.
• Experience with electrical systems and modern vehicle technology.
• Experience preparing vehicles for MOT and working to efficiency targets.
• Strong IT literacy, confident with workshop systems and digital records.
• Proven ability to diagnose, repair and complete repairs to a high standard.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain and repair a wide range of commercial vehicles.
• Carry out mechanical, electrical and electronic fault finding.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve faults efficiently.
• Work with leading manufacturers (Mercedes, Iveco, Ford).
• Take ownership of repairs from diagnosis to completion.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT and ensure safety and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records using digital systems.
• Collaborate with a team to maximise vehicle availability.
• Adapt to changing priorities in a busy workshop.

• £750 payable in first months’ pay and £750 payable after successful completion of 90-day probation review. Subject to tax and NI deductions, eligibility criteria will apply

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in HGV Maintenance (or equivalent) with experience working with HGVs
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills and experience using vehicle diagnostic equipment
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence
• Aged 21 and above for insurance purposes
• Full right to work in the UK
