Job summary

Pin Point Recruitment is seeking reliable HGV 2 Drivers to join our team for Recycler collections. You will work on a Monday–Friday schedule, starting at 06:15 and finishing 14:45, with overtime possible.

The role is a temporary position with a path to permanent employment and pays £20.00 per hour in Bridgewater TA6. Responsibilities include operating safe lorries, pre-trip checks, loading/unloading, and delivering on schedule while maintaining accurate records and strong communication with

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid HGV licence.
• Safe and efficient delivery experience and good road knowledge.
• Ability to read maps or use GPS for timely routes.

Responsibilities

• Operate lorries safely and in compliance with road regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
• Load/unload, secure cargo, and follow delivery schedules.
• Maintain logs of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage.
• Communicate with dispatchers about routes and issues.
• Adhere to safety, vehicle maintenance and customer service policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate lorries in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with all road regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are roadworthy and safe for operation.
• Load and unload goods, securing cargo appropriately to prevent damage during transit.
• Deliver products to designated locations, following scheduled routes and timelines.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery documentation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport.
• Adhere to company policies regarding safety, vehicle maintenance, and customer service.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial driving, with a valid HGV licence.
• Familiarity with flatbed operations is an advantage.
• Strong navigation skills and the ability to read maps or use GPS systems effectively.
• Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
