Job summary

The Staffing Network is recruiting an experienced HGV class 2 driver to join a well known distribution and warehousing company in Irlam and Doncaster.

You will be delivering electrical equipment with a tail lift, and some handball is required. Ongoing work with potential to become permanent for the right person, and full training after a driving assessment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months Class 2 driving experience.
• No more than 6 penalty points and no CD/IN/TT/DR endorsements.
• Good fitness for handball and manual handling; tail lift available.

Responsibilities

• Deliver electrical equipment/white goods using tail lift.
• Occasional handball and double-man work when required.
• Follow routes, paperwork and complete driving assessment during training.

Job description

The Staffing Network is recruiting an experienced HGV class 2 driver to join a well known distribution and warehousing company in Irlam and Doncaster.

This is a great opportunity for a reliable driver looking for ongoing work, with the potential to become a permanent role for the right person.

The role:

You will be delivering electrical equipment/white goods using a tail lift. The role does involve handball, so a good level of fitness is required, although the vehicle is equipped with all lifting devices and a sack barrow is provided to move items from kerbside to the delivery point.

Hours of work:

You will be working Monday to Friday, with the opportunity for occasional Saturday or Bank Holiday as overtime.

Start times will be between 0500-0700.

What you'll get:

You will be working as part of a small, friendly team, occasionally doing double man work. Full training will be provided following a driving assessment and working as a shadow driver in your first week to learn routes and paperwork.

We are looking for:

To be considered for this job you must have a min 6 months class 2 experience and no more than 6 points (we cannot accept CD/IN/TT/DR endorsements).

Pay :

£16.46 ph plus the choice to include weekly holiday pay (uplift for anti social hours)
