Job summary

Driving Force Recruitment is seeking HGV Class 1 drivers for ongoing work in Portbury (BS20). You will distribute for a major UK retailer, driving between depots and RDCs with a flexible shift pattern and guarantee of minimum hours.

Typical shifts include days or nights with ongoing, part-time or full-time options. Training provided after assessment; must pass a paid day assessment and meet time directive requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months class 1 UK driving experience.
• Digi card and Driver CPC required.
• Clean licence with max 6 points; DR10/CD10 not accepted.

Responsibilities

• Distribute for a major UK retailer, trunking between depots and RDCs.
• All runs are depot-to-depot; 5/6 day pattern available and guaranteed hours.

Driving Force Recruitment operating as an employment business are offering an excellent opportunity for HGV 1 Drivers to work for our award-winning client based in Portbury (BS20).The job will be Distributing for a Major UK Retailer, all runs trunking depot to depot and RDCs. We are offering an ongoing position with a flexible shift pattern to suit the driver.

Rates

• Days: Monday to Friday £19.08
• Nights: Monday to Friday £20.37
• Weekend Days: Up to £20.91
• Weekend Nights: Up to £22.56
• Peak Rates - December: Up to an extra £8 P/H - Rates from £24.08 to £30.56 P/H

Shift Details

All start times and shift patterns available 24-7 operation. Shift tend to be 11-14 Hours. Flexible working pattern – weekends available. ADHOC work available to suit. Guaranteed a minimum of 45 hours per week. The right candidates can run on a 5/6 work pattern if desired. Full training provided on completion of assessment.

Assessment

You must be able to pass an initial Day paid assessment which is fully paid at 8 hours; paper work part will include testing your knowledge on working time directive and there will also be a driving aspect to the assessment.

Desired Skills & Expectations

• Driving License, Digi card and Drivers CPC Card
• Must have good communication skills and a flexible can-do attitude to work.
• Good Geographical Knowledge
• Minimum of 18 Months experience Driving class 1 in the UK.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Unfortunately, we cannot use any candidates with DR10 or CD10 on your license. A maximum of 6 points on your license.
• Ongoing, temporary and part-time shifts are available.
