Job summary

Blue Arrow is recruiting Class 1 (C+E) HGV drivers for 13-week temp-to-perm opportunities in Leicester (LE4). You will perform general haulage duties nationwide, with pre-booked shifts and a pathway to permanent roles after a successful temporary period.

Shifts include day, early morning, PM/night, and weekend rotas on a PAYE basis with competitive hourly rates and holiday accrual. Immediate starts and ongoing work are available through XPO Logistics.

Qualifications

Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving licence.
Valid Driver CPC qualification card.
Digital Tachograph card held.
Good understanding of driver hours legislation.

Responsibilities

General haulage deliveries and collections across the UK.
Nationwide trunking and distribution work.
Curtain-side trailer operation.
Accurate completion of driver paperwork.
Adhering to driver hours and working time regulations.
Maintain high standards of customer service.
Conduct vehicle checks and report defects.

Class 1 HGV Driver - Temp to Perm Opportunities

Blue Arrow is recruiting Class 1 (C+E) HGV Drivers on behalf of XPO Logistics for a number of 13-week temp-to-perm opportunities based in Leicester (LE4).

This is an excellent opportunity to join a flagship logistics contract with one of the UK's leading supply chain providers. The Role

As a Class 1 HGV Driver, you will be responsible for completing general haulage deliveries and collections throughout the UK, ensuring all work is completed safely, professionally, and in line with transport legislation and company procedures.

Duties Include:

General haulage deliveries and collections
Nationwide trunking and distribution work
Curtain-side trailer operation
Accurate completion of driver paperwork
Adhering to driver hours and working time regulations
Maintaining excellent customer service standards
Conducting vehicle checks and reporting defects

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this Class 1 Driver role, you must have:

Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) Driving Licence
Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
Digital Tachograph Card
Good understanding of driver hours legislation
Professional and reliable approach to work
Strong commitment to health and safety
