Job summary

Montgomery Transport is currently seeking experienced Class 1 (CE) Night Drivers for ongoing temp-to-perm opportunities in Newtownabbey. Competitive pay and the chance to secure a permanent role with a well-established transport company are on offer.

We have two shift patterns: Sunday-Thursday and Monday-Friday, with night starts and 9-hour shifts, plus overtime options. A valid Class 1 licence, CPC card, tachograph card, and 1 year of Class 1 experience are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (CE) Licence and Driver CPC.
• Minimum 1 year’s Class 1 driving experience.
• Digital Tachograph Card and knowledge of regulations.

Responsibilities

• Night-time driving on Class 1 routes.
• Maintain safe driving and compliance with WTD.
• Accurate logbook and vehicle checks before/after shifts.
• Communicate professionally with dispatch and team.

Montgomery Transport is currently recruiting experienced Class 1 (CE) Night Drivers for ongoing temp-to-perm opportunities. We have multiple nightshift positions available offering excellent rates of pay and the opportunity to secure a permanent position with a well-established transport company.

Shift Option 1

Class 1 Night Driver

Sunday to Thursday

• 18:00 Start Time
• 9 hours work per shift
• 1-hour unpaid break

Pay Rates

• Sunday: £220.00 per shift (10 hours paid at £22.00 per hour)
• Monday to Thursday: £148.50 per shift
• Weekly Earnings: £814.00

Shift Option 2

Class 1 Night Driver

Monday to Friday

• 19:00 Start Time
• 9 hours work per shift
• 1-hour unpaid break

Pay Rates

• £148.50 per shift
• Weekly Earnings: £742.50
• Weekday Overtime: £19.25 per hour
• Saturday & Sunday Overtime: £22.00 per hour

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (CE) Licence
• Minimum 1 year's Class 1 driving experience
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Regulations
• Professional and reliable approach to work
