Job summary

QS Recruitment is recruiting for a HGV 1 Driver on day shifts in the UK. You will operate Class 1 (C+E) vehicles with walking floor trailers, perform pre- and post-shift vehicle checks, and complete deliveries and collections safely.

This role offers an hourly rate up to £20, with PAYE at £17 per hour plus 28 days holiday pro rata, or £20 per hour via Umbrella. Flexible pattern: 5/7, 4 on 2 off, or 4 on 4 off; starts early morning. Closing date 2026-09-14.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Walking floor experience preferred or relevant Class 1 experience
• Good understanding of driver hours and Working Time Directive regulations

Responsibilities

• Operate Class 1 (C+E) vehicles with walking floor trailers.

Job Description

Earn up to £20 per hour as a HGV 1 Driver on day shifts!

This is a new opportunity for reliable drivers looking for regular work with the potential to secure a permanent contract.

You will be:

• Operating Class 1 (C+E) vehicles with walking floor trailers
• Carrying out vehicle checks before and after each shift
• Completing deliveries and collections safely and efficiently
• Ensuring compliance with all driver hours and road transport regulations

Hourly Rate: £17 per hour PAYE with 28 days of holiday pro rata. Alternatively, you will recieve £20 per hour via our approved Umbrella.Please note we do not offer visa sponsorships.

Working Hours: Choose the working pattern that best suits your lifestyle:5 shifts out of 7 days (choose your preferred working days)4 on, 2 off4 on, 4 offAll shifts are 05:00 / 06:00 until approximately 15:00 .

Experience & Qualifications
