Aligra Personnel Ltd in the Slough area is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for night shifts with a leading parcel distributor. You will operate long-distance routes between regional hubs, with consistent nightly schedules and enhanced pay for weekends, overtime, and bank holidays.

The role emphasizes safe driving, accurate paperwork, loading and securing freight, and regular vehicle checks. You will join a supportive team that values reliability and professional conduct on night-time

Formación

• Valid HGV Class 1 licence with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar heavy goods driving role.
• Ability to work night shifts consistently and reliably.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail for managing freight and documentation.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude.

Responsabilidades

• Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently on scheduled night-time routes.
• Follow detailed routing and scheduling to ensure timely parcel delivery and collection between hubs.
• Manage loading, securing, and occasional unloading of freight including pallets, cages, and containers.
• Conduct daily vehicle safety inspections and complete defect reports as required.
• Handle shipment paperwork, scan consignments accurately, and maintain communication with dispatch teams.
• Adhere to all relevant road safety and company policies to ensure compliance and safety.
