Job summary

Pertemps Telford is seeking professional HGV1 drivers to join a national client at the Defence Fulfilment Centre in Hortonwood. The role offers a genuine income with strong home time and a temp-to-perm potential for the right candidate.

You will drive arctic and various trailers on long-distance trunking with flexible shift options including days and nights. Applicants must hold a C+E licence with CPC and Digi card, and provide 5 years of referenced work history.

Qualifications

• C+E Licence with CPC and Digi Card required.
• Possesses ADR qualification for temp-to-perm drivers.
• Enhanced DBS processed on your behalf.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV 1 vehicles (artic) and various trailers.
• Perform long-distance trunking between customer sites with 1–3 drops.
• Carry out trailer swapping and multiple-drop routes with flexibility.

We are recruiting professional LGV Drivers who want a genuine balance between a great income and high-quality home time. This is an exciting opportunity to work with one of our prestigious national clients based at the Defence Fulfilment Centre in Hortonwood. This is temporary ongoing work with a potential of a temp-perm for the right candidate.

As an HGV 1 Driver you will be responsible for:

• Shift options Day work night work (evening starts), trunking, or multi-drop options with varying flexibility
• Driving arctic heavy goods vehicles with a variety of trailers depending on the load.
• Long distance trunking work between customer sites (1-3 drops and back)
• Trailer swapping

To be considered for this HGV Driver role you will need:

• C+E Licence - CPC + DIGI Card
• To be able to provide last 5 years' worth of work history (referenced)
• To have a clear enhanced DBS processed on your behalf
• Have held your C+E license for at least 2 years, and have at least 6 months experience driving class 1 vehicles
• ADR licence qualification for successful Temp to Perm Drivers

PAYE HGV Driver Pay Rates are as followed:

• Days - £14.68ph
• Nights - £19.52ph
• Overtime (after 48 hours) - £22.02ph
• Bank Holiday £29.36ph
• Holiday accrual of 0.5 days for every full week worked.
