Job summary

Candidate Source is seeking a HGV/Class 1 Driver for a six-week assignment in the Burton area. Drivers will perform trunking and bay-to-bay work with no handball, choosing day, afternoon or night shifts. Excellent daily rates apply, with flexibility to work five or six days per week or ad hoc shifts.

Requirements include a Class 1 licence (C+E), Driver CPC and tachograph card, plus knowledge of drivers' hours and road transport regulations. Depots in Burton are the starting point.

Qualifications

• Valid Category C+E driving licence (Class 1)
• At least 90 days of recent driving experience
• Valid Driver CPC qualification
• Current digital tachograph card
• Good understanding of drivers' hours and road transport regulations

Responsibilities

• Complete trunking work across the depot and hub network
• Carry out bay-to-bay deliveries efficiently and safely
• Start and finish allocated work from the Burton depot
• Complete required vehicle and journey checks
• Follow drivers' hours, tachograph and road transport regulations
• Ensure loads and accompanying documentation are handled correctly throughout each journey

Job description

As a HGV/Class 1 Driver, you'll take on straightforward trunking and bay-to-bay work with no handball, flexible shift choices and excellent daily rates.

This is a minimum six-week assignment, with days, nights and weekend work available. You can choose to work five or six days per week or pick up ad hoc shifts to suit your availability.

What we're looking for in a HGV/Class 1 Driver

Working hours

Day shifts start between 04:00 and 15:59, while night shifts start between 16:00 and 03:59. Day, afternoon and night work is available, with the option to work five or six days per week or ad hoc shifts.
