Historic Environment Scotland in Stirling is seeking a Stonemason to join the Monument Conservation Unit (MCU) based at the Stirling Depot. The post is permanent and full-time, with responsibilities for conservation and routine maintenance of masonry on HES monuments in the Stirling area, including Stirling Castle.

You will work with Lead Masons and other tradesmen, assist with technical conservation tasks, and have the opportunity to train apprentices in all aspects of the trade.

Formación

• Assist with conservation and maintenance works on Historic Environment Scotland monuments in Stirling Depot area.
• Support training and instruction for apprentices in masonry.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with conservation and routine maintenance works to HES monuments in the Stirling Depot area, including Stirling Castle.
• Help train and instruct apprentices in all aspects of the trade and provide information to staff as required.
• Show masonry skills at open days when required.
