We are recruiting a Heritage Projects Co-ordinator on an initial one-year fixed-term contract to work within our Heritage & Collections team. This role offers a great opportunity for a Conservator and/or an experienced collections care professional to ensure the care and safeguarding of Parliament’s heritage assets.
Through your conservation and/or collections care expertise and practical experience, you will play an essential role in safeguarding Parliament’s heritage assets, ensuring they are appropriately managed through the R&R Programme. Your responsibilities will include supporting the planning and delivery of survey projects, and managing and recording important survey information, including heritage vibration baseline surveys and surveys to establish specialist recommendations for the decant or protection of heritage collections. The role will involve on-site work within the Parliamentary Estate, mainly during Parliamentary recess times.
You will have experience working with a wide stakeholder base and industry bodies. Your excellent organization and time management skills will be crucial in this highly critical role.
Salary: £44,000 per annum
