Join the National Trust at Stourhead to care for a Palladian house, landscape garden and estate. You’ll deliver high-quality plumbing and general building works, undertaking conservation repairs, maintenance and installations across heritage buildings and structures.

We seek strong plumbing expertise, solid general trade knowledge, ideally NVQ Level 3, and experience in heritage settings with a good understanding of conservation principles.

Qualifications

• Strong plumbing expertise plus solid general trade knowledge.
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) preferred.
• Experience in heritage or complex buildings and conservation principles.
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements and risk assessments.

Responsabilités

• Carry out skilled plumbing work alongside related general trades tasks in a conservation setting.
• Deliver planned and reactive maintenance and repairs to high standards, coordinating with site teams and specialists.
• Ensure activities meet health and safety requirements through risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Use materials and time efficiently while maintaining quality and minimizing environmental impact.
• Develop work plans and keep accurate records of work, materials and costs.
• Collaborate with colleagues, volunteers, contractors and stakeholders; share expertise and mentor apprentices.
