What’s the role all about?

We are looking for an individual whois looking for an opportunity to gain experience in the world of heritage and regeneration. This is a unique opportunity to join a well-established local authority teamwith a wide-ranging reach and varied work stream. The Culture and Heritage team within the regeneration service is responsible for the delivery of culture and heritage-based sector support and regeneration activities in response to the Local Plan, Creativity Strategy, and aspirations of the Authority to improve the place where residents live work and play.

As part of the Culture and Heritage Team, you will help ensure the Council develops, supports and delivers high quality heritage-led regeneration programmes.

What will your day look like?

The postholder will gain firsthand experience with the daily operations of the Culture and Heritage team. Working under direct supervision, they will assist the Culture and Heritage team’s activities, help advance service priorities, and have opportunities to engage in project delivery and management.

Your responsibilities will include supporting the delivery of the North East Lincolnshire Heritage Place programme, including culture and heritage projects. This will include assisting with grant claims and report writing, undertaking research, supporting the project managers with the receipt and assessment of repair grant applications, and supporting the delivery of activity programmes. You will gain valuable project management skills and experience.

Who are we looking for?

• A highly motivated individual keen to develop skills in the heritage sector.

• An individual with a genuine interest in heritage-led regeneration and project management, who is looking to gain valuable experience in comprehensive heritage project development and delivery.

• Proficiency in IT is required, as the position offers experience in general administration and the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues working in communications, digital marketing, and design.

We’re seeking a recently qualified graduate who is self-motivated and able to work independently, with strong research and problem-solving skills. You will be confident in carrying out both on site and office-based tasks, and adaptable to working with clear deliverable targets. The ideal candidate will be able to present complex project or heritage information in a clear and accessible way, and will be enthusiastic about developing their skills and growing within a supportive team environment.

You must have graduated from university recently to be eligible for this role. (last two years)
