Job summary

Coleman Classic Cars Ltd in Maidenhead is offering the Heritage Engineering Technician Apprenticeship, a Level 3 program focused on classic car restoration. You will work with an expert team on a variety of projects and gain hands-on skills across restoration, maintenance and engineering disciplines.

The 36-month apprenticeship runs with academy blocks at Bicester Heritage and hands-on time with your employer.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above.
• Interest in old-school engineering challenges and heritage skills.
• Previous classic vehicle work experience is useful.
• Willingness to reflect existing knowledge in the apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Assist skilled engineers with preparation, preservation, maintenance and restoration of classic vehicles.
• Learn the history and development of vehicles, components and materials, servicing, tuning, transmissions, drivetrains, chassis and electrics.
• Study Technical Drawing, welding, business studies and advanced diagnostics.
• Participate in time away from work for specialist training as part of the apprenticeship.
