Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking an experienced archaeologist to manage and deliver fieldwork projects across the northern UK region, combining technical archaeology expertise with commercial acumen.

You will lead planning, procurement and execution of fieldwork, ensuring high-quality deliverables for major infrastructure developments. You will coordinate RAMS and risk assessments, maintain strong client relationships, and contribute to business development initiatives, working from one of our offices

Qualifications

• Experience leading archaeology fieldwork projects (planning, delivery, budgeting).
• Strong knowledge of Ireland archaeology/history and planning processes.
• Experience in heritage planning, masterplanning, heritage conservation or related areas.
• Excellent writing and communication skills; able to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Motivated, conscientious, and able to meet deadlines in a consultancy setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fieldwork projects in the northern half of the country, ensuring quality and compliance.
• Lead planning and consent processes and develop bespoke archaeological strategies for developments.
• Prepare/select terms for fieldwork scope and RAMS in line with Health and Safety protocols.
• Engage with stakeholders, curators and clients to secure buy-in and manage expectations.
