Job summary

Devon Air Ambulance (DAA) are seeking an experienced HEMS Pilot to join our Flight Operations Team at Exeter/Eaglescott bases. You will operate as a single-pilot, working alongside clinicians and operations staff, with a mix of day and night shifts under our FTL scheme.

Essential requirements include UK CAA ATPL(H) or CPL(H) with Instrument Rating, Class 1 Medical, 1500 hours PIC, 500 hours PIC on helicopters, 500 hours HEMS or similar, and 20 hours VFR at night.

Qualifications

• UK CAA ATPL(H) or CPL(H) with Instrument Rating required.
• UK CAA Class 1 Medical is mandatory.
• Minimum 1500 hours PIC as pilot-in-command and 500 hours PIC on helicopters.
• Minimum 500 hours relevant operating experience (HEMS or similar) and 20 hours VFR at night as PIC.

Responsibilities

• Operate as HEMS single pilot within the Flight Operations team.
• Rostered for a mix of day and late shifts under the FTL scheme (4 on 4 off).
• Collaborate with clinicians and operations staff in a high-stakes environment.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and safety for all missions.
