Job summary

Hell’s Kitchen London, located at The Cumberland, seeks a Restaurant General Manager to drive success across all operations. Reporting to the Hotel Manager, you will lead with strategic and operational excellence and partner with the Head Chef to deliver show-inspired dining with outstanding service.

Responsibilities

  • Have previous experience as a General Manager within a premium high-volume quality restaurant.
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership, ensuring the restaurant consistently delivers on its ambitious goals.
  • Work closely with the Head Chef to shape the vision and performance of the restaurant.
  • Lead, inspire and develop a talented front-of-house team, creating an environment of passion, precision and pride.
  • Take ownership of the restaurant’s day-to-day operations, ensuring exceptional standards and guest experience.
  • Build loyalty with guests, ensuring regulars and VIPs receive personalised service.
  • Maximise restaurant covers and revenue opportunities while maintaining standards.
  • Champion collaboration between front of house and back of house, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Take responsibility for budget management, payroll forecasting and financial performance.
  • Identify and act on business opportunities that enhance profitability and market presence.
  • Represent the restaurant externally, networking and building strategic relationships.

Designed to transport guests straight into the heart of the action, the restaurant blends theatrical flair with culinary excellence and exceptional service, while pairing outstanding food and drink with world class service.

Recreating the tension of the show’s famed red and blue open kitchens diners witness the precision and intensity behind every dish, as well as a contemporary bar showcasing the latest trends in mixology. The menu features signature, show-inspired creations such as the legendary Beef Wellington, Pan-Seared Scallops, and Sticky Toffee Pudding, each prepared with the same passion and perfection expected from the show’s world-class chefs.

More than a meal, Hell’s Kitchen offers guests a front-row seat to the ultimate dining performance in one of London’s most sought-after locations, The Cumberland champions the city’s cultural and music scene, inspired by its rich history of housing music legends.

What you’ll be doing

As Restaurant General Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind every aspect of the restaurant’s success. Reporting to the Hotel Manager, you will:

  • Have previous experience as a General Manager within a premium high-volume quality restaurant
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership, ensuring the restaurant consistently delivers on its ambitious goals
  • Work closely with the Head Chef to shape the vision and performance of the restaurant
  • Lead, inspire and develop a talented front-of-house team, creating an environment of passion, precision and pride
  • Take ownership of the restaurant’s day-to-day operations, ensuring exceptional standards at all times ensuring flawless delivery and a guest experience of the highest calibre
  • Build loyalty with guests, ensuring our regulars and VIPs receive personalised, memorable service every time
  • Maximise restaurant covers and revenue opportunities while maintaining uncompromising standards
  • Champion collaboration between front of house and back of house, ensuring seamless communication and operations
  • Take responsibility for budget management, payroll forecasting and financial performance
  • Identify and act on business opportunities that enhance profitability and market presence
  • Represent the restaurant externally, networking and building strategic relationships that promote the venue and its world-class offering
