Job description

NHV Group is a European based helicopter service provider, specialised in business-to-business helicopter services both offshore & onshore.

As UK Crew Training Supervisor, you will work closely with NHV’s UK Crew Training Manager/Head of Crew Training (hereafter referred to as the HoT) and other associated parties, to facilitate initial and recurrent pilot training and checking and to help develop the crew training department so that it is optimally effective and efficient. The primary role of the candidate will be to maintain an awareness of crew training needs to ensure that training is allocated appropriately and that training records are completed to the required standard and stored correctly. A relatively advanced and detailed knowledge of crew training requirements both from a company and regulatory perspective is desirable, but the successful candidate can achieve this through relevant training. It is essential that the candidate possesses an excellent verbal and written grasp of the English language to fulfil a key secondary role, whereby the candidate will be expected to create and assess training documents, liaising with a variety of agencies and individuals to ensure that all training objectives are met.

Main Responsibilities

  • Liaising with relevant personnel so that suitably qualified trainers are allocated to provide training.
  • Auditing training documentation for accuracy before processing and archiving, advising trainers where necessary, to help maintain standardisation and compliance.
  • Ensuring that relevant staff can access the required training forms and materials and ensuring that training records and files are up to date
  • Obtaining training records / certificates of previous training or qualifications achieved from new joiners.
  • By liaising with relevant personnel, ensure that training rooms / venues, equipment, catering arrangements, and other requirements are booked in advance.
  • Managing relevant staff so that support materials / handouts for training courses are issued or made accessible to trainees and, where necessary, assisting with the creation of such documentation.
  • Ensuring that course feedback questionnaires are completed and assessed.
  • Follow up requests for training and ensure that appropriate training has been booked/allocated. Maintain an overview of bonding requirements
  • Liaise with the UK CAA during audits and certain licence applications.
  • Responsible for complying with Information Security Management System (ISMS) policies, procedures, and controls and supporting information security objectives
Skills and Experience
  • Aviation experience within an operational environment, including pilot rosters, with an understanding of FTL requirements
  • An understanding of basic crew training regulations within the relevant company documentation.
  • Prior knowledge of NHV’s training systems desirable
  • Previous experience of working with an authority such as the CAA desirable
  • Languages: English professional level
  • Excellent communication (oral and written)
  • Solution finding / problem solving
