Job summary

Rutherford in London is seeking a junior-mid level Associate for its renowned Hedge Funds practice. The role offers exposure to cross-border fund formation and advisory work, working closely with experienced partners on a broad range of matters.

The ideal candidate will have 1–4 PQE, experience in hedge funds or related funds, strong drafting skills and a good understanding of fund structures and documentation, with a Commercial, proactive mindset and client-facing experience.

Qualifications

• 1–4 PQE; E&W qualified
• Experience in hedge funds, investment funds or alt asset management
• Strong drafting skills
• Understanding of fund structures and documentation
• Experience advising asset managers or institutional investors
• Commercially minded and proactive

Responsibilities

• Structuring, establishing and launching hedge funds and alternative investment vehicles.
• Advising on managed accounts, single-investor vehicles and bespoke investment structures.
• Drafting and negotiating fund documentation, side letters and investor arrangements.
• Advising on seed capital transactions, strategic investments and manager ownership structures.
• Supporting established and emerging managers on ongoing fund operations, restructurings and regulatory matters.
