Job summary

LevelUP HCS seeks a Hedge Fund Coverage Banker in London to lead relationships with a defined portfolio of Hedge Funds, aligning Bank products and services to client needs. You will coordinate across multiple Bank functions to originate opportunities and manage client profitability, while maintaining top management visibility.

• Present relationship updates to Bizcom/NCC and senior management.

Overall Purpose:

In charge of the coverage of a defined list of Hedge Funds for the full Bank (Global Markets, IB and Real Assets, Global Trade).

Main Responsibilities:

1/ Coordination of a defined list of Top Tier Hedge Funds relationships:

• Being the main point of contact between the Bank and the clients.
• Organise, lead and coordinate the actions of all partners within the Bank with these clients so as to: Provide all our products and services to the customers, Search and customize all products and services of the Bank to adapt them to the specific needs of the customer base, Source, ensure origination and execution of transactions with product teams.
• Promote innovation in terms of client approach and service.
• More generally, develop customer profitability and rate of the portfolio.
• Understanding and execution of the strategies the business lines have with covered clients.
• Assist with top management relationships with these clients locally. Organize meetings with the Bank's top management and clients to raise the Bank's name and create long term relationships.
• First Line of defense for the Bank on the client typology.
• Get in-depth knowledge of the clients, in terms of their history, organigram, decision process, activities and challenges.

2/ Internal coordination:

• Define commercial action plan on key clients for their business locally.
• Raise any issue with a client to management/risk/compliance.
• Participate and present relationship to Bizcom/NCC on the clients covered in coordination with the relevant main senior banker.
• Work closely with CCU, business lines, Client Services, Engineering, other coverage.

3/ Responsible for producing:

• New business opportunities for the bank/sales force.
• Coverage memos and opinions on credit lines.
• Briefing notes for senior management.

Job Requirements:

• Corporate and Investment Banking product knowledge.
• Hedge Fund clients existing relationships.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities, working under pressure to meet deadlines, and the ability to respond creatively and quickly in a fast-paced and changing environment.
• Effective team player with an entrepreneurial spirit.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills are a must, particularly when communicating in English.
