Job summary

Tru7 Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a skilled Plant Fitter to service, maintain and repair heavy plant equipment across multiple sites.

You will diagnose faults, use diagnostic equipment and reference manufacturer guidance to keep machinery safe, reliable and downtime-minimised. The role requires practical problem solving, a proactive attitude and commitment to high quality workmanship. A valid UK driving licence and own tools are preferred.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2/3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent.
• Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
• Own tools are essential.
• Experience with heavy plant or construction machinery is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned servicing, maintenance and repairs on a wide range of heavy plant machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Use diagnostic equipment and technical information to identify and resolve faults.
• Carry out inspections, servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Complete accurate service, repair and defect records.
• Attend breakdowns and respond efficiently to machinery faults where required.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with manufacturer recommendations.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop and working environment.
• Follow all company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Work closely with the Engineering and Plant teams to minimise machinery downtime.
• Support the wider Engineering team with workshop and maintenance requirements.
