Job summary

Wolviston Management Services Ltd is recruiting a Heavy Plant Fitter to join the Teesside site engineering team. You will inspect, maintain and repair a varied fleet of heavy mobile plant, working closely with the Garage Team Leader to ensure safety, reliability and performance.

The role involves fault-finding, commissioning and continuous improvement across plant assets, with opportunities for structured training and progression within a multi-disciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualifications as listed above.
• Level 2 Certificate in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or Level 2 Diploma in Construction Plant/Machinery Maintenance as acceptable routes.
• Level 3 Diploma in Plant Maintenance or an engineering apprenticeship completed.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and repair a range of heavy plant and mobile equipment.
• Carry out routine inspections of engines, gearboxes, hydraulics, electrical systems and tyres.
• Fault find and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, structural and lubrication issues.
• Dismantle, repair or replace defective components and assemblies.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and update asset status systems.
• Provide feedback on defects and corrective actions to colleagues.
