Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Heavy Plant Fitter (Field-Based) to service and repair heavy plant equipment across the Southeast of England, with occasional wider UK travel. The role is mainly field-based, focusing on service, maintenance and fault-finding at customer sites.

You will work Mon–Fri with occasional overnight stays. A company van, fuel card, overtime, door-to-door pay and 25 days holiday are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience of Heavy Plant servicing and repair.
• Driving license.
• Willing to undertake occasional overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Complete service, maintenance and repair on Heavy Plant equipment.
• Predominantly field-based work across the Southeast with occasional UK travel.
• Fault-finding on mechanics, electrics, pneumatics, hydraulics and electronics.
• Potential fabrication and welding skills as required.

Heavy Plant Fitter (Field-Based)

Are you a Plant Fitter with experience of Heavy Plant, looking to join a market-leading and fast-growing Importer and Dealer of Heavy Plant and Agricultural machinery, which supplies to the Recycling, Forestry and Demolition industries?

Are you looking for a long-term stable role, servicing Heavy Plant throughout the Southeast of England with occasional travel farther afield?

On offer is an autonomous and varied field role, where you will service and repair Heavy Plant, predominantly in the western and northern home counties, with occasional paid overnight trips to clients, potentially anywhere in the UK, where you will be the face of this leading Importer and Dealer of Heavy Plant.

On offer is the opportunity to join a well-established and rapidly growing Heavy Plant Dealer that supplies a range of Machinery, including Shredders, Crushers, Screeners, Conveyors, and Demolition and Quarrying machinery, where you will be responsible for service, maintenance, repair, and fault-finding.

The role:

• Complete Service, Maintenance and Repair on specialist Heavy Plant equipment
• Almost 100% of the time in the field
• (Apply online only) Mon to Fri
• Predominantly the western and northern home counties areas, with occasional overnight stays potentially anywhere within the UK
• Fault-finding on mechanics, electrics, Pneumatics, hydraulics, and electronic equipment
• Potential fabrication and welding skills needed
