Job summary

Holt Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Mobile Heavy Plant Engineer to service, diagnose, and repair heavy plant across Reading and surrounding areas. You will work in the field, carrying out servicing and breakdown repairs with a focus on customer service and high workmanship standards.

The ideal candidate will have mobile plant experience, strong mechanical/hydraulic diagnostic skills, and a full UK driving licence. Full-time, permanent role with door-to-door pay and company van.

Heavy Plant Engineer – Mobile

Location: Reading & Surrounding Areas

Salary: £20+ per hour – £50,000–£60,000+ OTE

Hours: Full-time, Permanent - 40 Hrs a week

Holt Recruitment is working on behalf of a client seeking an experienced Mobile Heavy Plant Engineer to join their growing engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong mechanical background to work on a range of heavy plant and construction machinery, carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs in the field.

The Role

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on heavy plant and construction machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Attend breakdowns and complete repairs on customer sites.
• Complete inspections, service reports and maintenance paperwork.
• Deliver a professional service to customers across your assigned area.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience as a Plant Engineer, Heavy Plant Fitter or Mobile Plant Technician.
• Strong mechanical and hydraulic diagnostic skills.
• Experience working on heavy plant or construction machinery.
• Able to work independently and manage a mobile workload.
• Full UK driving licence.
