Alecto Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Plant Fitter for a day shift role within a busy waste and recycling operation. You will service, inspect, repair and fault-find on a broad range of mobile and static plant equipment to minimise downtime.

The role offers £25-£30 per hour, paid overtime, and a permanent full-time contract. You’ll work in a modern facility with significant investment in equipment and long-term career stability.

Qualifikationen

• Experience as a Plant Fitter, Plant Engineer, Maintenance Engineer or similar.
• Strong mechanical and hydraulic fault-finding skills.
• Background working on heavy plant, industrial machinery, recycling equipment, quarry machinery or construction plant.
• Welding experience would be highly advantageous.
• Good understanding of bearings, belts, conveyors and material handling systems.
• Strong commitment to health and safety.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Basic IT skills for maintenance records via tablet or mobile applications.

The Role

Working as part of an experienced maintenance team, you'll be responsible for servicing, inspecting, repairing and fault-finding on a wide range of mobile and static plant equipment within a busy waste and recycling operation.

You'll work on equipment including:

• Loading Shovels
• Waste Handlers
• Skid Steer Loaders
• Mobile Shredders
• Forklifts
• Conveyors
• Vibrating Screens
• Air Separation Systems
• Magnet Systems

Your focus will be on minimising downtime, carrying out preventative maintenance, responding to breakdowns, and ensuring equipment remains safe and operational.

What We're Looking For
