Job summary

The Ashcourt Group is seeking an experienced Plant Engineer to join our team in Yorkshire. The role focuses on servicing, maintenance, fault-finding and repair of a wide range of heavy plant and quarry equipment to keep our fleet operating safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate has NVQ level 3 in plant maintenance and proven experience in construction, quarry or recycling plant, with strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding skills and full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience as Plant Engineer/Plant Fitter or Heavy Plant Engineer.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience on construction, quarry or recycling plant.
• Able to diagnose faults and carry out repairs with minimal supervision.
• Good understanding of health and safety.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, fault-find and repair a wide range of heavy plant and quarry equipment.
• Assist in keeping fleet operating safely and efficiently.
• Maintain records of maintenance and repairs.
• Proactively prevent breakdowns and minimise downtime.
