Job summary

United Plant Services, part of The Briggs Equipment Group, seeks a Heavy Mechanical Engineer - Mobile to service and maintain heavy plant equipment in Reading. You will perform fault finding, PPMs and inspections in quarry and waste environments while delivering high standards of customer service.

Applicants should have an NVQ Level 3 in Plant maintenance or equivalent, and experience with Liebherr, CAT, Komatsu or Volvo.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Plant maintenance or equivalent.
• Experience on Heavy Plant and machinery.
• Experience on Liebherr, CAT, Komatsu, Volvo.
• Good understanding of hydraulic, mechanical and electrical principals.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Ability to manage and prioritise workload.
• Understanding customer needs.
• Flexible and committed.

Responsibilities

• The service and maintenance of Heavy Plant Equipment.
• Fault finding, planned preventative maintenance and thorough inspections of equipment.
• Ensuring customer service is kept to a high level and any queries are addressed.
• Adhering to safety guidelines set and all policies set out by customers and United Plant.
• Complete job activity electronically and ensure all required parts to complete tasks are ordered.
• Ensuring the company vehicle is maintained to a high standard and correctly stocked.
• Ensuring customer relationships are maintained and developed through high standards of service.
