Job summary

Paradigm Employment Services Ltd. is recruiting a Crane Engineer / Heavy Plant Engineer to join its engineering team in the North West England region.

The role blends field-based work with time in the workshop and yard, focusing on diagnosing faults, servicing and repairing cranes and heavy equipment, with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability. The ideal candidate will have experience with heavy plant, cranes, hydraulics and engines, with the ability to diagnose hydraulic and electrical

Qualifications

Experience in heavy plant or construction machinery.
Proficient in hydraulic and electrical fault diagnosis.
Comfortable working across field and workshop environments.
Willingness to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

Servicing and repairing cranes and heavy equipment.
Diagnosing hydraulic, electrical and mechanical faults.
Carrying out planned maintenance and breakdown repairs.
Travel to sites to support operations.
Keep accurate service records and collaborate with teams.
Ensure health and safety standards are met.
