Job summary

System Recruitment Limited seeks a Heating / Gas Engineer for permanent, on-site work across Oxfordshire and surrounding counties. You will perform planned maintenance, repairs, and installations to boilers, heating, plumbing, and ventilation systems, traveling within an 80-mile radius with a company van.

The role requires extensive experience in mechanical and heating maintenance in building services, with domestic and commercial gas qualifications preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years' experience in building services and heating maintenance, repairs, and small works.
• Experience of working on oil systems is preferred but not essential.
• Gas Safe qualified with domestic and commercial scope; City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Planned Maintenance to boilers, heating, plumbing & ventilation systems.
• Attend repairs, breakdowns and fault finding.
• Installation of pipework & plumbing, replacing electro/mechanical components.
• Completion of reports, assist, prepare and submit quotations.

Location: Home based Thames Valley - Oxford, Reading, Newbury, Slough, West London, High Wycombe, Aylesbury, Bicester, Swindon, Watford, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire

Salary: 40,000 to 50,000 basic, OTE 55,000 + Van

Start Date: ASAP

As Heating / Gas Engineer you will be responsible for the following:

• Conduct Planned Maintenance to boilers, heating, plumbing & ventilation systems.
• Attend repairs, breakdowns and fault finding.
• Installation of pipework & plumbing, replacing electro/mechanical
• Completion of reports, assist, prepare and submit quotations

As a member of the Service and Maintenance team on site you will be responsible for conducting the planned and reactive maintenance to the site's mechanical services. You will cover a number of sites within the central and southern counties in an approximate 80-mile radius of Oxford so will be given a company van to travel to the site.

Experience

At least 5 years' experience in the building service industry working in a similar role and able to demonstrate a proven work history record in respect of Mechanical and Heating maintenance, repairs, and small works.

The role will suit individuals currently working as Heating / Gas Engineer, Commercial and Domestic Gas Engineer, Building Services Engineer, Boiler Engineer, Building Maintenance Engineer, HVAC Engineer, Heating Engineer and be living within a commutable distance of Oxford, Bicester, Thame, Abingdon, Witney, Carterton, Chipping Norton, Banbury, Aylesbury, High Wycombe, Newbury, Reading, Slough, West London or be willing to relocate.
