Reed Engineering & Manufacturing in Sheffield is recruiting a Heat Treatment Operative to join a specialist manufacturing team. You will assist in safe movement, identification and processing of customer materials, ensuring traceability throughout the heat treatment cycle.

The role offers full training on procedures, handling equipment and safe systems of work, with a quarterly bonus and long-term career development in a market-leading engineering company.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or engineering environments.
• Forklift or side loader experience advantageous (training provided).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain material traceability.
• Commitment to safety and quality.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Strong focus on safety and quality.
• Reliability and strong attendance record.

Responsabilités

• Receive and despatch materials with full traceability.
• Identify materials before and after heat treatment.
• Report material discrepancies to management.
• Prepare and dismantle furnace charges per instructions.
• Support straightening and Brinelling processes to meet specs.
• Maintain records and follow admin procedures.
• Operate forklift trucks and side loaders after training.
• Meet production deadlines while upholding quality.
• Follow Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
• Promote safe working practices among colleagues.
