Job summary

Contek Recruitment is seeking a Heat Treatment Operative for a full-time, permanent role based in Sheffield. The role involves goods receipt/despatch, material ID checks, charge makeup, and finishing operations to meet customer deadlines.

The position operates on a 40-hour week with rotating shifts (06:00-14:00, 13:00-21:00, 20:00-06:00) and includes a base salary plus shift allowance. Health and safety policies apply, with emphasis on safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Goods receipt and despatch of material to ensure traceability of material through correct use of administration procedure.
• ID material before and after heat treatment, highlight and report any anomalies, to change-hand and or Heat Treatment Manager.
• Charge makeup / break down – Ensure correct makeup of charge in line with Heat Treatment reports.
• Straightening / Brinelling – Working to deadlines to meet customers’ demands.
• To work in accordance with the Company’s Health and safety and Environment Policies.
• To work in accordance with the Company’s safe systems of work and procedures, to ensure safety of self and others.

Contek Recruitment are currently working with a specialist Engineering company, based in Sheffield. Due to continued growth and success, they are recruiting for a Heat Treatment Operative to join their growing team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Working Hours:

Mornings, Afternoons, and Nights (Rotating Weekly) (40 hours per week)

• WEEK 1: Monday to Friday (06:00 AM until 14:00 PM) - Mornings
• WEEK 2: Monday to Friday (13:00 PM until 21:00 PM) - Afternoons
• WEEK 2: Monday to Thursday (20:00 PM until 06:00 AM) - Nights

Salary: Base salary of £26,665 per year + £4,530 per year shift allowance - Total yearly salary of £31,195.36.
