Job summary

Alecto Recruitment is seeking an experienced Heat Pump Engineer or Heating Engineer for on-site roles in and around Basingstoke. Full training will be provided to upskill into heat pump technologies, with a competitive salary and a company van.

Role covers installation, commissioning and servicing of heat pumps in domestic settings, with some light commercial work and potential customer surveys.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing & Heating or equivalent required.
• Heat pump experience preferred but training provided.
• Electrical knowledge and fault-finding skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission Air Source & Ground Source Heat Pumps.
• Work on domestic projects including radiators, pipes, cylinders.
• Conduct some maintenance, servicing and fault-finding.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues on site.
• Travel locally within Basingstoke, Hook and Berkshire areas.
• Ideally survey and quote jobs for customers.

We're looking for an experienced Heat Pump Engineer or Heating Engineer ready to upskill into the booming heat pump sector. Full training provided.

The Role

• Installation and commissioning of Air Source & Ground Source Heat Pumps
• Covering all types of work from radiators, pipework, cylinders, heat pumps etc.
• Domestic projects (private homes, new builds) + occasional light commercial work
• Some maintenance, servicing and fault-finding work
• Electrical knowledge, responsible for troubleshooting etc.
• Local work throughout Basingstoke, Hook and Berkshire areas
• Ideally ability to potentially visit customers to survey & quote for jobs as well.

What You Need

• Backgrounds considered: NVQ Plumber / Heating Engineer / Gas Engineer
• Heat pump experience would be preferred (BPEC or similar), however not essential as training available for the right person
• Ideally NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent)
• Bonus: Unvented systems & Water Regs certification
