Job summary

White Recruitment Limited is seeking a Heat Pump Engineer to service and maintain commercial heat pump systems in Northampton, England. You will diagnose faults, carry out preventative maintenance, and support system upgrades for a range of HVAC installations.

The role requires F-Gas qualification, a full UK driving licence, and strong communication skills to advise customers on performance improvements and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working on commercial heat pump systems
• Strong fault-finding skills across refrigeration, HVAC, and electrical systems
• F-Gas qualification
• Experience commissioning and servicing commercial heating and cooling equipment
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical documentation
• Full UK driving licence
• Excellent customer-facing and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance, servicing, and reactive repairs on commercial heat pump systems
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration faults across a range of heating and cooling equipment
• Commission new commercial heat pump installations and system upgrades
• Provide technical support and recommendations to customers regarding system performance and efficiency improvements
• Complete service reports, maintenance documentation, and compliance paperwork accurately and efficiently
• Ensure all work is carried out in line with F-Gas regulations, manufacturer guidelines, and health & safety requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance, servicing, and reactive repairs on commercial heat pump systems
