Job summary

Hightown Housing Association is seeking a Healthy Homes Manager in Hemel Hempstead to lead a specialist team responsible for damp and mould management, stock condition surveys, and responsive remedial works across 9,000+ homes.

You will drive compliance with Awaab's Law, oversee a multi-trades in-house team, monitor Decent Homes standards, and support energy efficiency improvements while delivering strong customer-focused services.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of building construction, surveying and building regulations.
  • Experience managing housing repairs, maintenance, and property compliance services.
  • Knowledge of Awaab's Law and HHSRS.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent project, stakeholder, and budget management skills.
  • Strong customer focus and commitment to service excellence.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role across our portfolio of over 9,000 homes, ensuring residents live in safe, healthy environments while driving compliance, service excellence, and continuous improvement.

About The Role
  • Damp and mould inspections and remediation programmes

What You Will Bring

  • Knowledge of Awaab's Law and Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS)
  • Experience leading and developing high‑performing teams

  • Ability to analyse complex issues and develop practical solutionsA full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use are essential.
