Job summary

Referment is developing healthcare software that supports ADHD and autism assessments. This hands-on role is for a product-minded software engineer who can take ambiguous ideas from concept to reliable production features.

You will collaborate with machine-learning engineers and clinicians to shape end-to-end workflows, design robust APIs, and ship scalable solutions in a regulated health-tech context.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with end-to-end ownership of features.
• Strong hands-on full-stack proficiency with Python, React and AWS.
• Product-minded mindset with startup experience or ownership of products from concept to release.
• Ability to read existing code, ask precise questions, and understand the wider product context.
• Comfort working with incomplete specifications and independent decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship complex, AI-enabled full-stack features from scoping through production release.
• Design APIs, data models and application flows that stay maintainable as the product grows.
• Collaborate with technical colleagues and clinicians to clarify requirements and improve workflows.
• Test features thoroughly and handle real-world state and data-flow edge cases.
• Move quickly in a startup environment while balancing scope, UX and technical debt.
