Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Health Care Support Worker for Pemberton Ward in the Division of Medicine. The role is part-time, 33 hours per week, with shifts across 7 days, at the Royal Albert Edward Infirmary, Wigan.

Salary is £25,272 per annum pro rata, with original certificates required at interview. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality patient care.

• Effective numeracy and literacy skills are required.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients and colleagues.

Responsabilités

• Assist patients with washing, dressing, personal care, beverages and meals.
• Assist qualified nursing and medical staff as requested.
• Communicate with the team to maintain high-quality patient care.
• Support patients' hygiene needs and assist activities as directed.
• Prepare and support patients during activities; observe health changes.
• Notify the registered nurse of any concerns or risks to patients.
• Manage ward resources and restock supplies; assist with cleaning.
• Engage in personal development and learning opportunities.
