Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a compassionate Healthcare Support Worker for University Hospital Crosshouse. Position

An opportunity has arisen for a Healthcare Support Worker at University Hospital Crosshouse.

What you will do:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and compassionate person to join our team caring for infants and their families within our level 2 neonatal unit.

In this role you will be responsible for promoting family centred care and performing clinical tasks such as health promotion, documenting the infant’s physiological measurements and assisting the team and the family to meet the infant’s nutritional needs.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

SVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience

Knowledge of a range of clinical conditions that affect children’s health, wellbeing

Knowledge of health and social care services for children and families

Experience of working with children and families in the hospital and community
