Job Overview

My client, a top 100 law firm, is recruiting a Healthcare Solicitor to join their fully remote team. The role offers significant opportunities for training, growth, and development within a dynamic healthcare litigation practice recognized in legal directories and the market.

Responsibilities

1. Advising and representing healthcare professionals in regulatory proceedings before bodies such as GMC, GDC, HCPC, NMC, with GMC experience highly valued.
2. Handling MHPS and private hospital disciplinary cases.
3. Representing healthcare professionals in clinical negligence claims, including doctors, surgeons, nurses, dentists, and allied health professionals.
4. Providing medico-legal guidance and pre-action assistance, including in the Caribbean.
5. Offering policy coverage advice to healthcare insurers.

Requirements

• Experience in healthcare litigation, particularly defendant clinical negligence and regulatory cases.
• Strong technical knowledge, case law understanding, and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, empathy, motivation, and a strong work ethic.
• Teamwork, confidence, resilience, initiative, and organizational skills.
• This role is not suitable for candidates with only claimant experience or only defendant experience in claims work.
