Job summary

phs Group is hiring a Healthcare Service Driver to execute pre-planned daily routes visiting healthcare and commercial customers. You will collect and safely handle healthcare waste, service hygiene products, and complete compliance documentation while delivering courteous service.

The role operates Mon–Fri, 6am–6pm, with 40 hours per week and a company vehicle. A full UK driving licence is required with up to 6 points; competitive pay includes £12.81/hr (£26,639 base) plus bonus.

Qualifications

• Full UK Manual Driving Licence held for 12+ months.
• Maximum 6 points on licence (no DR/DD/CD/TT/IN/AC in last 5 years).
• Able to work 6am–6pm, 40 hours per week.
• Reliable, safety-conscious and professional.
• Good attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Collect and safely handle healthcare waste (including sharps and pharmaceutical waste)
• Service and replace hygiene products within customer premises
• Complete compliance documentation (digital and paper-based)

• Return to the depot daily to unload collected waste

Healthcare Service Driver

£12.81 per hour | £26,639 + Bonus (OTE £27,839) per year | 40 hours guaranteed

Permanent | Monday to Friday | No scheduled weekends

The Healthcare Service Driver role at phs will involve:

You’ll follow a pre-planned daily route visiting healthcare and commercial customers to:

• Collect and safely handle healthcare waste (including sharps and pharmaceutical waste)
• Service and replace hygiene products within customer premises
• Complete compliance documentation (digital and paper-based)
• Deliver professional and courteous customer service
• Return to the depot daily to unload collected waste

Routes and schedules are centrally planned to ensure efficiency, safety and compliance.

This is a physically active role suited to someone who prefers being on the move.

The ideal candidate for a Healthcare Service Driver at phs will have:

• Full UK Manual Driving Licence (held 12+ months)
• Maximum 6 points (no DR/DD/CD/TT/IN/AC endorsements in last 5 years)
• Able to work within a 6am–6pm window (40 hours per week)
• Reliable, safety-conscious and professional
• Good attention to detail
