Job summary

phs Group plc is hiring a Class 2 Service Driver to join our Exeter operations. You will follow pre-planned routes visiting healthcare and commercial customers, delivering professional service and safely loading and unloading waste.

The role is permanent, Monday to Friday with no scheduled weekends, 40 hours per week, and an attractive package including a company vehicle, annual leave benefits and access to our wellbeing and training programmes.

Qualifications

• Full UK Manual Driving Licence (held 12+ months)
• Category C (LGV Class 2) licence
• Current Driver CPC card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Maximum 6 points (no DR/DD/CD/TT/IN/AC endorsements in last 5 years)
• Able to work within a 6am–6pm window (40 hours per week)
• Reliable, safety-conscious and professional
• Good attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Drive the pre-planned daily route visiting healthcare and commercial customers
• Drive a Class 2 vehicle and deliver a professional customer service
• Return to the depot daily to unload collected waste
• Complete compliance documentation (digital and paper-based)
• Ensure safety and compliance on all routes

Class 2 Service Driver

£35,500 per year | 40 hours guaranteed

Permanent | Monday to Friday | No scheduled weekends

The Class 2 Service Driver role at phs will involve:

You’ll follow a pre-planned daily route visiting healthcare and commercial customers to:

• Driving soft compaction vehicle, similar to refuge collection vehicle
• Emptying/Collecting Euro Bins containing offensive waste
• Complete compliance documentation (digital and paper-based)
• Deliver professional and courteous customer service
• Return to the depot daily to unload collected waste

Routes and schedules are centrally planned to ensure efficiency, safety and compliance.

This is a physically active role suited to someone who prefers being on the move.

The ideal candidate for a Class 2 Service Driver at phs will have:
