Job summary

Medirest is seeking an experienced Security Supervisor to lead a team of security professionals at King's Mill Hospital, Sutton-in-Ashfield. You will oversee day-to-day security operations, ensure patient and staff safety, and uphold NHS and Compass Group policies.

You will supervise patrols, respond to incidents, manage rotas, and produce incident reports while maintaining a professional, customer-focused approach within a busy healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Security Supervisor or Team Leader role.
• Holds a valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in healthcare/public sector or high-footfall environments is desirable.
• Able to remain calm under pressure and make informed decisions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate day-to-day activities of the security team.
• Ensure security operations align with NHS policies and company guidelines.
• Conduct regular patrols and inspections across the hospital site.
• Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies and security breaches.
• Support investigations and prepare accurate incident reports.
• Monitor CCTV and access control procedures.
• Assist with staff rotas, attendance, training and performance.
• Build strong relationships with management, staff, patients and visitors.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, safeguarding and security regulations.
