NHS Lanarkshire is seeking Security Officers to cover 4 x 18-hour posts and 4 x 24-hour posts on a rotating schedule across the UHM site. You will patrol internal and external areas, help ensure a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors, and act as an advocate for NHSL while on duty.

Shifts are 6 hours, Mon–Sun, between 06:45 and 18:45, with a focus on de‑escalation, incident reporting, and maintaining building integrity. Full NHS benefits apply.

Competenze

• Knowledge of health and safety policies applicable to NHS sites.
• Able to communicate empathetically and de‑escalate conversations.
• Able to navigate site lay outs and building layouts.
• Basic knowledge of CCTV monitoring and security procedures.

Mansioni

• Operate a 7-day security and car parking service, including monitoring parking.
• Help maintain building security by locking doors and reporting faults.
• Complete daily tasks such as site lockdown and incident log recording.
• Respond to calls involving patients, staff, visitors in clinical and non-clinical areas.
