Job summary

Invictus Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead pre-construction for healthcare projects in Liverpool. You will oversee planning, design coordination and procurement strategies, engaging NHS Trusts, consultants and contractors to ensure readiness for delivery.

The role requires NHS environment experience and a strong track record in pre-construction management across refurbishment and building services within healthcare facilities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in pre-construction.
• Experience delivering healthcare projects within NHS, PFI, or healthcare facilities.
• Knowledge of NHS estate, HTM/HBN standards or equivalent.
• PM qualifications such as PRINCE2 or APM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-construction phases of healthcare refurbishment, infrastructure and building services projects.
• Oversee planning, feasibility studies, design coordination and programme development.
• Manage projects from concept through pre-construction to delivery readiness.
• Liaise with NHS Trusts, healthcare stakeholders, consultants, contractors and internal teams.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, timelines and procurement strategies.
• Coordinate design teams, subcontractors and consultants throughout pre-construction.
• Ensure all projects meet healthcare regulations and HTM/HBN standards.
• Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Oversee tendering processes, contractor selection and procurement activities.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure clear communication.
• Ensure documentation and construction programmes are in place ahead of delivery.
• Support the transition from pre-construction into the construction and delivery phases.
