Job summary

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in pre-construction.
• Experience delivering healthcare projects.
• Strong NHS estate knowledge and healthcare infrastructure understanding.
• Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders and contractors.
• Ability to manage budgets, programmes and risk.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage pre-construction phases for healthcare refurbishment, infrastructure and building services projects.
• Oversee planning, feasibility studies, design coordination and programme development.
• Manage projects from initial concept through pre-construction to delivery.
• Liaise with NHS Trusts, healthcare stakeholders, consultants and contractors.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, timelines and procurement strategies.
• Coordinate design teams, subcontractors and consultants through pre-construction.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and HTM/HBN standards.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Oversee tendering, contractor selection and procurement activities.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain clear communication.
• Ensure documentation and programmes are in place before delivery.
• Support transition from pre-construction into construction.
