Job summary
Cencora in Birmingham is seeking a reliable Driver to join our team. You will be responsible for the safe and timely collection and delivery of products, materials, and medical samples in compliance with procedures.
You will play a key part in maintaining service excellence, supporting operational efficiency and ensuring shipments reach their destination securely and on schedule. The role requires a full valid driving licence with a clean driving record and previous delivery/logistics
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Less than 2 years of experience in transportation or logistics.
- Certified in dangerous goods awareness or related licensure preferred.
Responsibilities
- Complete scheduled collections and deliveries on assigned routes.
- Verify shipment details and complete documentation accurately.
- Obtain signatures and proof of delivery; maintain transport records.
- Transport products, materials and medical samples in compliance with regulations.
- Communicate delivery updates, delays and issues to the team.
- Support loading/unloading, labeling and packaging for shipment readiness.
- Monitor vehicle condition and report maintenance needs promptly.
- Assist with airport transfers and time-critical deliveries as required.
