Job summary

Guy's and St. Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 2 receipt and distribution Operative within the Procurement service. You will handle stock receiving, unpacking, and replenishment across wards and clinical areas, ensuring accurate deliveries and stock rotation.

You will work with a multi-professional team to support patient care, follow safety and storage protocols, and contribute to continuous service improvement in a fast-paced NHS environment with good work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow procedures and adapt to an evolving service.
• Willingness to learn and contribute to patient care through efficient stock handling.

Responsibilities

• Receive stock, unpack deliveries and replenish stores or stores rooms.
• Ensure stock rotation and deliveries match requisitions or orders.
• Transport supplies across the Trust to wards and clinical departments.
• Identify discrepancies and report to Help Desk and site management.
• Co-operate with wards/departments to agree delivery times for large items.
