Job summary

University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Inventory Controller (Band 3) to manage daily inventory services, ensuring timely access to clinical supplies. The role is based at Royal Bournemouth Hospital and requires flexibility for weekend work.

The post supports a major transformation programme in a large NHS Trust. The successful candidate will use barcode systems, manage stock replenishment and maintain accurate records in line with Trust procedures.

Qualifications

• CIPS certificate or NVQ level 3 in supply chain or equivalent
• Fork lift truck training
• Evidence of continuing professional development
• Full car driving licence

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day inventory services within designated areas to ensure timely access to supplies
• Use inventory management systems and barcode technology for stock replenishment, ordering, receipt and distribution
• Maintain accurate records and compliance with Trust procedures
• Work flexible shifts, including weekends/bank holidays as required
