Job summary

Welbeck Cambridge is seeking a Housekeeping Team Leader to oversee housekeeping and cleaning services across our premium healthcare site. You will lead a team of five housekeepers, ensure safety, hygiene and environmental standards, and coordinate with clinical and facilities teams.

This is a new role in a new building, offering opportunities to shape delivery, set expectations, and progress to broader leadership within a growing private healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining high cleaning and hygiene standards in healthcare or regulated settings.
• Ability to manage a small team and delegate tasks effectively.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations and COSHH requirements.
• Strong organisational skills with capability to plan rotas and staffing levels.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day housekeeping operations across the site.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and environmental safety.
• Support regulatory compliance including health and safety and COSHH requirements.
• Coordinate audits, inspections and quality assurance activity.
• Lead and performance manage the housekeeping team.
• Plan rotas and staffing levels for day-to-day operations.
• Provide regular performance updates and drive service improvements.
